B-2088 Table Lamp by Frank Ligtelijn for Raak, 1960's

This lamp, model number B-2088, was designed by Frank Ligtelijn and produced by Raak, in Holland during the 1960's.
The lamp is made of a cast iron round base that has been wrinkle coated in black all around, a solid chromed tube and a shade that is made of two parts: the center part is a (pressed) crystal glass shade with a pattern in relief and the outer part is an aluminum ring, coated black on the outside. This aluminum ring hangs like a colar around the crystal glass center piece. There is no special system to attach it: it is just a perfect fit and it is part of the great design.
There are two porcelain bulb holders/light fixtures below the glass center.
