Ceiling Lamp, model Max, by Nordisk Solar, 1970's
This ceiling lamp, Model Max, was designed by Max Bruel, Gerhardt Bornebusch. Jorgen Selschau, for Nordisk Solar, in Denmark during the 1960's. The three architects "have designed these decorative recessed and surface-mounted lamps for modern light and ceiling architecture (...). The composition of the grid in combination with the light distribution is one of the possibilities for giving a room character without being dominating." - in Solar Catalogue. The lamp shadows are arranged in a funnel shape towards the center so that the light is reflected at the top and bottom of the lamp. The reflection ensures an even light distribution over the lamp surface. The lamp is in white lacquered metal, with the original labels inside. In original and good vintage condition.
