Danish PH 4/3 Pendant Lamp by Poul Henningsen for Louis Poulsen, 1960s

This pendant was designed by Poul Henningsen and produced by Louis Poulsen, in Denmark during the 1960's. It is made of powder-coated aluminum and is lit both downwards and from the sides. The PH 4/3 model is based on the principle of a reflecting multi-shade system, creating a glare-free illumination. This legendary design stems from Henningsen's own, brilliant three-shade system from late 1920s. Poul Henningsen original design from this period was highly functional, some people might even call it ‘Industrial,’ targeted specifically towards young students. The wiring has been replaced, it has been tested and is in working order. In original and good vintage condition, with some age related signs. With the original Louis Poulsen sticker inside.
