Diabolo Table Lamp Brass Black White Metal Stilnovo Style Italy 1950s

A striking diabolo table lamp in the style of Stilnovo, produced in Italy during the 1950s. This piece exemplifies the refined balance between playful form and technical precision that defines Italian mid-century lighting.
The lamp is composed of a sculptural brass structure supporting a distinctive double-ended diabolo shade. Executed in lacquered metal, the shade features a contrasting black and white finish that enhances its geometric clarity and visual presence. Subtle perforations allow light to diffuse softly, adding both atmosphere and decorative interest when illuminated.
A particularly interesting feature of this lamp is its dual light source: it is fitted with two E14 bulbs, one positioned in the smaller section of the shade and another in the larger end. This configuration allows for a more dynamic distribution of light, enhancing both functionality and visual effect.
The slender brass stem rises elegantly from a circular base, providing warmth and balance to the crisp, graphic quality of the shade. The overall composition is both playful and controlled, with the diabolo form introducing movement while remaining firmly rooted in Italian modernist design language.
A highly decorative and collectible piece, ideal for interiors that appreciate authentic mid-century Italian lighting.
