The SAUCE Table Lamp, designed by Tomás Díaz Magro for Fase Madrid in 1969, is a remarkable piece of Spanish mid-century modern lighting. Standing at an impressive 70 cm in height, this is one of Fase’s largest and heaviest models (10 kg), featuring a heavy counterweight that ensures stability. Its swiveling base and adjustable lampshade, which can be raised or lowered using the elegant walnut handle, offer both practicality and style.

One of the lamp's standout features is the lengthwise opening in the lampshade, which not only provides cooling but also emits a striking shaft of light upwards, adding a touch of ambiance to any space. The pull-chain light switch located on the lampshade adds a vintage charm to this design.

Inspired by Joe Colombo’s Spider and Coupé series, the SAUCE Table Lamp embodies the futuristic, sleek aesthetic of the late 1960s. Given that other iconic Fase models like the Mini-Fase and Flash 69 were patented in the same year, this lamp is also attributed to 1969.

Fully restored with new electric wiring, the lamp is in excellent working condition, making it not only a beautiful design piece but also fully functional. This is an outstanding addition for collectors or anyone looking to add a bold, mid-century statement to their interior.
