Lino Taglapietra Pyramid Table Lamp by Effetre 1980’s Italy

SKU: 875

A striking example of Italian glass artistry, this Pyramid Table Lamp was originally designed in the 1970s by Lino Tagliapietra for Vetri Murano and later reissued in the 1980s by Effetre. Celebrated as one of Murano’s most influential glass masters, Tagliapietra brought his exceptional craftsmanship and modern sensibility to this bold, sculptural piece.

The lamp features a tall, pyramidal silhouette, hand-blown in Murano glass using the intricate filigrana technique, with precise vertical black striping over white. The lines subtly warp with the shape, giving it a sense of movement. When illuminated, it casts a warm, atmospheric glow, highlighting the beauty of the striped glass.

It stands on a minimalist white base and retains its original On/Off switch, true to the lamp’s clean and understated aesthetic. The piece was also professionally rewired a few years ago, ensuring it is fully functional and safe for contemporary use.

In excellent vintage condition, this lamp is not only a lighting element but a sculptural object, embodying the essence of 1970s Murano design and its revival in the 1980s. A rare collector’s piece that bridges craftsmanship and timeless modernity.
