Mid-Century German Space Age Glass Pendant Lamp from Peill & Putzler, 1970's

This ceiling lamp was produced by Peill and Putzler, in Germany during the 1970's. It features a glass globe with an UFO shape and tulip-shaped upper part, made of aluminum. The glass surface is partially coated with a silver mirroring layer. It is fitted with a chromed aluminum cap and a black cable. This makes an amazing glare-free hanging lamp.
The silver layer of this type of lamps is very prone to detachment and discolorations. This piece shows a few detachment on this layer. In original condition.
