"Copenhagen" Gyro petroleum lamp made of brass. This decorative item is rare and fascinate through it's simplicity and design. Due to the gyroscope mount, they are well suited to provide lighting on a ship. Handmade in Denmark This petroleum lamp was designed by Ilse Ammonsen in the 1950s and were manufactured by Daproma in those days. This is the cleanest, precision work. Manufacturing the Copenhagen gyroscope requires more than 160 process steps. It consists of 21 parts and are made in a precision of 1/100 mm. It is more than a lamp, it is a sculpture. The height can vary from 21 to 27 cm. The diameter of the foot is 8 cm. The lamp is made of polished brass and have a gimballed mount, with a 24-carat gold plate. In original and good vintage condition. Stamped on the bottom:  "Ilse D. Ammonsen" and has the original stickers showing brand name "DAPROMA Design handmade in DENMARK".
