Robin Day Modular Console Table/ Sideboard for Habitat
This sideboard was designed by Robin Day during the 1950's and reissue by Habitat, in UK. It is a modular piece were each component can be combine as desired, offering a thoughtful range of storage and display surfaces. It features a metal frame with a seven modular elements (two cabinets in teak, one drawer unit in teak, three glass shelves, one tray). It is a rare piece. In original and good vintage condition.
Habitat opened in 1964 by the hands of Terence Conran and friends that wanted to bring to London a new, European way to shop for contemporary homeware. Through Habitat, Terence Conran revolutionized the decoration universe and struggled for making design affordable for the majority of people.
