Vintage Space Age Ceiling Lamp by Motoko Ishii for Staff, 1970's

This ceiling lamp was designed by Motoko Ishii for Staff, in Germany, during the 1970's.
This design impresses with It's mirrored surfaces. Playing with reflections creates a special depth. The reflective surfaces double the elements and enhance the lighting effect. located on a base plate in a grid arranged cylinders of the same height. At the upper end of the cylinder E14 small sitting sockets on a glass ball is screwed. A special element is the screw-glass balls, with chrome finishing, that protect the lamp and enlarges it optically. The really small E14 bulbs gets the appearance of a Globe illuminant. The transparent volume, gives the whole design a certain lightness. This lamp can be mounted on the ceiling or wall.  
In original and good vintage condition, with some signs of wear and use.
