  • Wall sconce by Luis Perez de la Oliva for GEI, 1970's

    SKU: 500

This wall sconce was designed by Luis Perez de la Oliva and produced by Gey, in Spain, during the 1970's. "According to our information, GEI was founded in 1969. The acronym stands for the suggestive name "Gabinete de Estudos Industriales" (Industrial Research Office). We think that Luis Pérez de la Oliva founded GEI, but we don't know if he teamed up with anyone to do it (as he did with FASE). (...) In any case it seems certain that it was for this for this company that he created the majority of lamps, outside of FASE." - in Fase, the book - The mystery solved, 2018. This lamp has one chrome metal ball with a stripe of red lacquered metal in the middle, that gives an indirect light when the proper mirror bulbs are used. With the original sticker from the manufacture. In original and good condition.
