Lisbon Design Week: In collaboration with Maria16

May 26th, 2023, saw the participation of art studio Maria16 in the first edition of Lisbon Design Week. Within the embrace of Maria 16's artistic haven, a vibrant congregation of diverse artists celebrated craftsmanship, creativity, and design, painting a vivid tapestry of collaboration and exchange.

In this dynamic assembly, Mid Mod helped to orchestrate the space, curating two distinct dining spaces, an inviting living room arrangement, and thoughtful accents throughout the exhibition venue. Mid Mod's pieces not only provided comfort but also served as conversation pieces that enhanced the connection between visitors and the artworks. This collaboration underlines the symbiotic relationship between form and function, aesthetics and utility, in the realm of art and design.

One such collection was Apewood, by the skilled designer João Maria Bernadino. With a focus on preserving artisanal spirit while infusing a modern aesthetic, Apewood's wooden creations resonated harmoniously with the timeless elegance of Mid Mod's pieces.

KRUS, the multi-disciplinary artist Sofia Cruz, infused her works with a celebration of color and emotion. Mid Mod's carefully chosen pieces formed a backdrop that effortlessly accentuated the vivacity of KRUS's creations.

Sebastião Lobo, the burgeoning jeweler and artist, brought his versatile vision to life. His works, a blend of sculpture and visual art, found their counterpart in Mid Mod's sophisticated furniture, creating an environment that encouraged dialogue between diverse art forms.

Janvier Studio's celebration of nature through contemporary landscape design found solace in Mid Mod's commitment to functional beauty. The furniture pieces seamlessly partnered with Janvier Studio’s plant styling, giving the space a sense of both structure and character. This collaboration elevated the visitor experience, striking an equilibrium between design and the inherent beauty of the natural world.
